There will be no Champ Bucks for October.
8. Committee Updates/Remarks
Junior Achievement – helps teach skills life kids life skills for when they’re older, in five 45 minutes sessions. Three KG, Three 1st, Two 3rd, Three 4th, Three 5th classes all who still need JA helpers. Volunteers can maybe merge two classes together so no one misses out?
Hospitality – Emily thanked everyone for the support. Next idea is to have an Appreciation/Drinks bar/station. More thought and input required.
Holiday Lunch 12/14– what food would they like? Mrs Kulhanek remarked that we need to remember the Halal teachers, and always ensure a vegetarian option. Mexican, baked potato bar, soup bar and cookies are always very much appreciated.
Sponsorship update – 2 new sponsors since September. Andrea has currently been working on Fall Festival silent auction items. People need to bid online or can also just donate money. Share with family and friends, even $20 makes a big difference.
Membership update – Dominga said 3 more teachers have signed up, and almost all staff (8 remaining). There is still a long way to go for 100% signed up. Currently 5th grade in first place, 1st grade in second place and 2nd grade in third place. Maybe we could make it into a competition between the classes, who gets the most memberships wins popsicles or something, and can post updates on the BBE page.
Program development – next Spirit nights
11/15 at Pepperoni’s – Greatwood location
Jan at Spring Creek
Feb at Crumbl
March at Mama Le
April at Space Cowboys game
May at Altitude trampoline park
$238.68 was collected from the last Spirit night.
Parties – 125 students have paid dues which contribute to the Holiday Parties on 12/14. $6.00 per family for membership, party fee ($12) is per kid.
Mrs Kulhanek has spoken to the team leaders and would like them to have some input on what that would look like for example maybe no worksheets, maybe other food options not always pizza. Possibly some games or something a little more out of the ordinary, especially for the 5th graders. Sierra will set up a template to send to all team leaders who can fill in with their party preferences.
